So there is no liability if all your customers leave your building and go to another provider. These lawyers are so smart. Jalopnik may fade away and lose much of their market share, but they won’t get sued for somebody’s nasty post. So it’s a win!

It does seem to be the most similar to Kinja in the way it works, and LaLD seems to have successfully transferred there and is thriving now. Only problem with it - as I’m not the first to point out - is that it feels a little bit less personal. But if anyone can make it work, it’s us.

Forgot all about DriveTribe. I signed up way back when, but didn’t like the format. Kinja’s much more intuitive and is actually pretty great when it’s not broken. Maybe I s hould check back in to DT and see how it’s come along in the past few years.

I’m calling BS on the “user-generated content” phrase of that blurb. We generate comments, too, but those are such an integral part of a good blog network that it would be suicidal to get rid of them. (See also: Scabspin.)
